In his own words
Like many computer geeks, most nights I am losing valuable sleep to the exploration of such topics as Flex, Ajax, SQL, PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, XML, XSL, XUL, RDF, ODBC, shell scripting, AppleScript, Linux, Apache, and anything and everything related to FileMaker (CWP, FX.php, and the FileMaker API for PHP in particular).
For whatever reason, I have a compulsive desire to share information on these topics. So, if you have a quick question in one of these areas, please send me an email and I will try to answer it promptly and post the results here.
Brief history
I have forever been interested in two things: computers and music. So, after spending the better part of my teens and twenties attempting to cultivate a career in music, I finally crossed over to the dark side and took a desk job as a graphic designer.
One thing led to another and the next thing I knew, I was making a nice living designing custom database and web applications for a prominent FileMaker consulting company, The Moyer Group. I became the Vice President and had a ball managing a bunch of excellent developers on a wide range of projects. During that time, I started writing magazine articles on FileMaker Pro. In 2006, I spoke at the FileMaker developer conference in Orlando for the first time.
After several years of working for a recognized leader in the industry, I had a head full of exciting ideas about how to build a better mousetrap. Most of them were not a good fit for my employer, so I eventually ventured off to put my money where my mouth was. Toward that end, I founded a software consulting firm with the extremely unimaginitive name of "Jonathan Stark Consulting".

Most of my client work is private, but there are a few public examples that you can play with here, here, here, and here. I have also posted a bunch of nice testimonials.
